An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of students who work at different departments of the hotel such as the front office, housekeeping, food & beverage service and kitchen. As part of the industrial training, students work for different duration of time at all these departments.

Duration : 06 - 12 Months
Eligibility: DHM / BHM / MHM
Stipend : As per Hotel Policy
Working Hour : Min. 8hrs

Front Office

Front office of the hotel is most crucial department as guest interact directly with them.
So their communication, presentation skills are utmost importance. Although the organizational structure of the hotel’s front office varies depending upon whether the facility is a small business or a large resort, certain specific roles are found within all organizations,

  • b) Reservation Clerk
  • c) Cashier

Food & Beverage service

A Food and Beverages (F&B) service personnel in a hotel/restaurant could be regarded as a person who takes the food and beverages orders from the guest and serves it to the guest and also takes care of the guest or we can say that an F&B personnel does anything to make the guest’s dining experience memorable so that the guest visits the hotel or restaurant again to have the same dining experience.

Food production

Food Production Workers work in various facilities serving food and are mainly responsible for preparing meals. Some usual work duties these employees perform are receiving food items, storing food properly, operating food processing equipment, maintaining supplies, mixing ingredients, and assessing food items quality.

Housekeeping is an operational department in a hotel, which is responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, aesthetic upkeep of rooms, public area, back area and surroundings. The effort that a housekeeping department makes in giving a guest a desirable room has a direct bearing on the guest's experience in a hotel.
